Elder-Carer Foreign Domestic Worker Scheme


THE OBJECTIVES OF EFS:

  1. To equip trainees to be able to provide domestic care for care recipient safely
  2. To equip trainees with the basic know-how skills and knowledge on Assisted Daily Living Activities for a person needing care

 

CAREGIVING CORE MODULES (20H)

  1. Basic Make up
  2. Personal Health & Hygiene
  3. Basic Skin Care Routine

 

LEARNING OUTCOME

The trainee is able to confidently manage the care recipient safely and competently.

 

ASSESSMENTS (4H + 2H)

Upon completion of training hours, the trainee will undergo two assessments.  One assessment will be conducted at one of the three approved training providers in a classroom-settings which will take approximately 4 hours.  Upon deployment, the trainee will undergo an on-job assessment which will take approximately 2 hours by the same trainer in the residential environment.

 

*Trainee will be issued a Certificate of Attendance by the approved Training Provider and Employer is able to use the Certificate to apply for Foreign Domestic Worker Grant (FDWG).  The Certificate is tagged to the trainee and the care recipient.
