  1. To enable trainees to be able to render care safely and hygienically for an elderly
  2. To equip trainees with the skills and knowledge to care for elderly with different disabilities
  3. To equip trainees with the know-how of handling critical situations when it arises

 

CAREGIVING CORE MODULE (12H)

a)  6 Different Assisted Living Activities

  • Bathing
  • Movement & Mobility
  • Feeding
  • Toileting
  • Dressing
  • Continence

b)  Healthy, Hygiene & Safety Care

  • Render and ensure hygiene care at all times
  • Safety as priority
  • Healthy & Appropriate Diet

c)  Vital Signs Monitoring

  • Temperature
  • Blood Pressure
  • Intake/Output level

 

 

RELATIONSHIP MODULE (2H)

a)  Communication and Expectation Management

  • 2-way communication
  • All parties’ expectation

b)  Stress Management

  • Talk & Share
  • Never take it personal

 

ASSESSMENT (2H)

Each trainee will undergo oral theory and practicum assessment upon completion of the 16hours classroom training.
